Lent is the time to focus on making for ourselves
a new heart and a new spirit.

“The measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you."

To see God and to know him, even as he knows us.

Love that is challenging for us as humans,
is fully possible for our God.

It’s all about “the More”

Today’s readings tell us not to be shy in our prayer,
but to ask God, to beg God for what we need.

Maybe this Lent we can ask God for
awareness of Christ’s presence and
the Holy Spirit’s urging in our daily lives.

Is God changed by our requests?

Ask the Lord to help us imitate the sheep.

Lent is a time for us to focus upon our amazing God
who loves us unconditionally.

The tax collectorLevi's, story reminds us of the all-embracing love of our God.

My sacrifice, O God, is a contrite spirit (Ps 51:19)

Cling to the Lord and not the idols hidden in our lives.

Remember...you are dust and unto dust you shall return.

without becoming dumb or irresponsible—

It takes radical trust to “stay” when we don’t have an answer to “why?” or “how long?”

Be attentive to what is getting in the way of orienting our lives to God.
